Anyone have any advice on using a Dremel for carving wood?

I just got one, and while I’m excited to try it, it’s something way outside of what I’m used to doing.

I’m reviving my clock project.

I still don’t know what I’m doing, but now I have tools to accelerate my failures!

@ziphi Most dremels are kinda heavy and can tire out your arm in long carving sessions. You can get a "flex shaft adapter" that keeps the motor on the table, leaving you with something more nimble.

As for bits, you don't need many. Mostly you only need something for heavy removal, something pointy for fine details, and something in the middle for everything else.

@ziphi this is so amazing. hope you have an excellent time creating this clock! im excited to see how it will become!
