are mastodon's "favorites" not seen as the same thing as twitter's "likes"? ive noticed that most mastodon posts have 0 favorites and a bunch of boosts

To anyone freaking out about the NVIDIA stuff:
These do not implement the parts of the driver that relate to OpenGL, Vulkan, or CUDA. These are just for communication with the cards. It's the beginning of the puzzle, but It's not quite what we've been asking for

Distro hoppers be like: Zoom dropped a call this week, so I decided to blame Ubuntu and go compile a whole distribution from scratch over the weekend in protest.

update: i ended up going back to xorg because wayland was having some issues *sometimes* where one of the monitors (it was different each time) would just get stuck at a black screen, either on startup or when waking from sleep

Show thread

okay so!! i switched to wayland instead of xorg, and now my 144Hz monitor is finally working properly!!!

xorg doesn't play nicely with dual monitor setups where they each have a different refresh rate

the downside of this is now i can't screenshare on discord

Show thread

hmm i'm thinking i might switch back to KDE

Fun fact: Firefox is pretty much the only remaining browser with a web engine that isn't a descendant of KHTML.

KHTML (Konqueror) -> WebKit (Safari) -> Blink (Chromium/Chrome/Modern Edge/Opera/Brave/etc)

Here's a project I was working on, it's Pac-Man ported to the Arduino uno (only 2kb of ram!!) It's an absolute pain to get sprites to behave due to how slow the Uno is which is why I ultimately scrapped the project (also because I broke the CRT and threw it out) #arduino #programming #coding
