@rey @nivex I haven't decided about wall mounting. Mounting to *something* sounds secure, and secure sounds good, but most of the racks I've worked with were free-standing - and too heavy to budge. The telco 2-post racks were bolted to the floor, but I'm not thrilled about lag bolts into my slab. Finishing the wall (unfinished mechanical room, not on HVAC, in basement) with some insulation and then plywood sounds reasonable.
Clip-in yes!
@rey @nivex Should I avoid or go with Brand X, avoid or go with Retailer Y? I've never done this outside of $work where there was always a history of "we get this one for that environment" (no choices on my part).
I've built a rack for $work in a floor-length dress (with pockets, thank goodness) using a Leatherman Micra because that's what I had on me that day (I do not leave home without some tools). But I've never picked one for home so I'm at a loss there.
