do html text inputs take a content type? like, could you mark an input as text/markdown or whatever, and then the user agent could give you a native rich text editor and send it in that language?


I suppose better would be giving the browser hints on what html tags and attributes can be used, and the browser then eg tells your phone's keyboard it can show an italics switch or link thingy in addition to shift. sorta like how it shows @ on an email field
