Let's make 2020 the year we stop using incontinence as an insult.
There are a lot of really lovely people who have problems with incontinence! They're not the ones you want to insult! So if someone has an embarrassingly bad take, maybe try making fun of the bad take, and not an imagined and irrelevant medical problem!
Saying a piece of software is "shitting the bed" is using incontinence as an insult, which is ableist and hurtful and bad, and we are not doing that anymore in 2020
☝️ just saw someone calling someone else ableist in a reply and then subsequently using incontinence and frustrated screaming as insults against the person the replyer was calling ableist, so folx it's once again time to point at the sign
they weren't even really wrong about the initial point, which was calling a technology useless garbage (for using a whopping, like, 30 watt hours more per day) and then only mentioning accessibility after getting called out on it. they just decided to call it out in the most combative and least helpful way possible
@else do - do people do that?
@00dani all. The hecking. Time. I hate it. I saw it happen like twice today, which is why I decided to post about it.
