@kyzh worth considering posting all my posts as unlisted/private or politics posts? Not sure how that makes a difference who gets the heads up.
I've gotten a swarm of new followers lately.
@creatrixtiara I was refering to the post you actively want to get into the hands of people that choose to.
The difference will be for people that share your instance but that do not follow you.
They will see your post in their local timeline.
The people that share an instance with someone that follow you will also see your post in their federated timeline.
The later might not be an issue for instances with a large federation considering the velocity there.
@kyzh Oh, are you saying there's going to be people that aren't following me that are going to see my PSAs anyway because of how federation works? That's not a big deal to me, hell it'd be a good headsup for people who were thinking of following me.

I'm saying that those are option you may or may not want use.
Some people seems to be able mute on a per hashtag basis.
You may or may want people to keep following you but muting these topic.

I understand were you are coming from and do exactly the opposite the same goal (eg I put a lot of CW on my content, moved to unlisted by default, to not hog the space) and make other content, like yours, more discoverable.
