I have a grudge against a few game companies, EA, CAPCOM, Blizzard, for various small reasons.
Using Nintendo as an example, as I no longer hold ill feelings towards them: Region lock was non-existent before the launch of Nintendo DSi, and they proceeded to region lock everything, until the most recent, Switch - that is region free. It's the most successful hardware for them in the last 15 years or so, and the fact that it is region free - not a coincidence imo.
