So like the current healthcare bill just got the mandate added back in, except that it also allows insurers to not cover you for pre-existing conditions, which means that those of us with pre-existing conditions will never get insurance and be penalized for the rest of our lives due to no coverage.

I want to die right now because my heart is broken because I don't know how I'm going to survive all this. I don't know how my friends will. We're all going to die.

Gods it is hot. This house gets hot, there is no AC. I have a wet towel on my head and a huge fan and a tiny fan and it's helping.

But I need to check out of all social media for a while. I love y'all but things are kinda terrible and I need to lie down.

RPG stuff has simmered down for the nonce for me. I can't keep doing it in the heat so I am just chilling.

Clarification: Mental illness is a disability, no matter how much people with mental illness think that throwing away physically disabled folks will somehow make society accept them, or ditto for physically disabled folks throwing mentally ill folks under the bus.

Also many communities want to throw out non-white members because of a perception that we make their movements "unclean" and less acceptable.

Intersectionality is fucking important.

"I'm not ableist because I have a mental illness! Mental illnesses are not disabilities, only physical disabilities are!"

Note: people with a marginalization can have internalized bigotry against their own marginalization or bigotry against subsections of their marginalization that they don't identify with.

Ask me how fucking fun it is to be diaspora and thus "you're not really Vietnamese" is something I get from the Vietnamese homeland folks.

It's awesome to have the option to have unlisted and followers only toot options as well as the usual public toot. I feel safer, especially if I need to vent about something.

I know this isn't absolutely secure but there's a huge difference between me nursing my drink in the corner muttering to myself, and dancing on tables screaming it.

Which is what twitter always is, unless you completely lock your account.

I listed out some Instagram accounts I follow that make Instagram fun and exciting for me. Non-white (and I think one East European) artists heavily featured.

A reason I love ink is that it's easier to f with people's sense of the real, because an ink mark can be interpreted any number of ways—though the trick is intending & communicating that properly
