Funny how "phone" is now "insanely powerful portable computer with access to the world's knowledge and emojis" instead of "chonky analog device hardwired to a network once hacked by cereal whistles."

@Aradia I'm honestly considering getting a PinePhone but /not as a phone/, just as a pocket computer. (I'll use my current iPhone as an actual phone.)

@Aradia My daughter missed the very the beginning of the smartphone revolution. She had an old-skool slider cellphone (probably running some java nokia thing that had a camera and a few apps but no touchscreen) in middle school, and her 5-years-younger cousin had only used her mother's iPhone, and didn't know of anything else. My daughter handed her the slider phone and my neice was totally baffled by it, asking "But... *how* is it a phone?"
